Kuolleiden maa

This was inspired by Moonsorrow's song "Kuolleiden maa" ("The land of the dead")
The picture should represent a post-apocalyptic landscape. I feel like I have come to a dead end with it and I don't know how to continue anymore. Please give me some advice on how this can be improved.
