They have the right to say what they think. I don't know about what kind of criticims you're talking about. But when ciriticism are really from bad side, they just do it because they jelous I think maybe... But it's weird, I agree.
We have a right to do a lot of stupid things Some people might actually be jealous, but I guess that most of them are just plain rude and do not care about the feelings of the others. They might even wish for the best, yet still their rudeness destroys any potential positive effect of their critique. I was talking about the beginners making suggestions of what the professionals should do to improve their work. Not necessarily rude, but really useless and out of place
I believe some criticize when not fullfilled by their own acts, and efforts. Some turn to tearing others down to make themselves feel better.
I know very little about photography, except what I love to look at and admire for hours at a time. I know I think you are true to your art (yourself), talented and inspiring to me. So screw the haters. They just don't know.
BTW, I still love your eyes.
PS: I really hope I did not post anything that might have implied I thought I knew anything about photography. I just know I love your work and now I'm listening to metal.
No, you haven't posted anything like that This journal entry is fairly old and inspired by many incidents of criticizing of the works of others. It happened to me sometimes that people who criticized my work were unable to perform at least on the same level, but I have never considered myself a pro, or even close to that. If you see the artwork of a high level with a critique written to it you can find some absolutely dumb suggestions and remarks.
eh, not really. It's basically like on Amazon, when none writers/ beginner writers critique the books of some pretty fantastic authors. Happens all the time, just depends on how one takes said critque.
